Police are appealing to the public after a blue and white Ford Genuine Parts sign was stolen from the Narromine Historical Museum and Meeting Place.

In the early hours of June 30 police allege someone has forced entry into the museum, smashing open the timber doors at the entry of the building.
Police believe the property taken, the Ford genuine parts sign, was specifically targeted by thieves.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"We're following lines of enquiry including the possibility that it's been taken by a collector," Acting Orana-Mid Western Police District Inspector Michael Smith said.
"We are aware there has been a recent offer to buy the sign a few weeks prior, which was declined."
Police are urging people to keep an eye out for the sign, or anyone who may have information to come forward to help return the sign to the museum.
