The fourth anniversary of the free, weekly five-kilometre event will be marked with a dress-up celebration at Sandy Beach.
With a theme of winter pyjamas, first-time and regular parkrunners are being encouraged to "roll out of bed" and join in.
In the past four years Dubbo parkrun has built up to have the second highest number of registrations per postcode in Australia - 5474 participants, event director Miriam Tan reports.
It reached its highest attendance in April when 460 people ran, jogged or walked the course.
More than 2500 distinct people have participated in parkrun at Dubbo, with an average of 314 each Saturday.
"But numbers are just numbers, as long as those that come along enjoy themselves whether that's participating, volunteering or cheering others on," Ms Tan said.
A first-timers briefing will be at 7.45am.
