Health Infrastructure(HI) plans to knock down the existing dialysis unit after its replacement in the Talbragar Building is completed late this year.
The existing dialysis unit and old theatres are making way for the construction of the Western Cancer Centre on the western edge of the hospital campus.
HI expects to award the contract for the construction of the Western Cancer Centre within weeks.

"A request for tender has been released for construction of the Western Cancer Centre," a HI spokesman said on Friday.
"A contract award is expected in late August 2019."
The federal and state governments are funding the construction of the cancer centre to the tune of $25 million and $10 million, respectively.
It will be linked to the three-storey building currently under construction on the hospital campus.
The new clinical building is set to expand into the space currently occupied by the hospital's existing emergency and imaging departments.
"Construction of the new three-storey hospital building is being staged to minimise disruption to patients and staff," the HI spokesman said.
"The first phase of construction commenced in July 2018 and includes the new emergency, short stay and medical imaging departments.
"Work to prepare the existing imaging and emergency departments for demolition is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2020."
The NSW government is spending $150 million on stages three and four of the redevelopment of Dubbo Hospital.
Other facilities in the new three-storey building will include an ambulatory care unit and critical care floor comprising a coronary care/stroke unit, intensive care unit and cardiac catheter laboratory.
