This weekend's performance will reveal Shannon's latest album 'Unbroken', which is the "I've Got A Car" singer's first release in seven years.
Shannon has released five top ten albums, including two number-one multi-platinum sellers.
His first ten singles peaked inside the ARIAS top ten, including three that reached number one, and he remains the only Australian male artist in Australian chart history to have ten consecutive top ten singles.
Shannon's debut single "What about me?" was certified four-times platinum and became the highest-selling single of 2004 in Australia.
Nolls' voice is described, typically, as raspy and soulful.
Shannon had a difficult 2018, with drug charges made against him and much public scrutiny, followed by the birth of his fourth child in December to wife Rochelle Ogston.
Shannon was quoted on his website as saying "It's been a testing time for me in the last couple of years, just trying to adapt and survive."
The singer acknowledged the much-needed changes he had to make to his life before heading back into the studio, saying he needed time to "reflect" and "make some changes".
Life for the former Idol runner-up hasn't been a walk in the park of late. He lost his father in 2001 due to a farming incident and was required to run the family farm with his two brothers over two years of severe drought. Noll said being an active father to his young children while slowly prospering in his dream career as a singer, left him feeling as though he "missed out on some important bonding time with his children".
Now Noll is back to strumming his guitar and having fun out at gigs and has hinted he'll continue to produce new music.
''I'm singing better than I ever have and the band is cooking," Noll said.
"It's back to the days of being lots of fun, rather than worrying about what's around the corner."
The singer, who calls Sutherland Shire home, said he "likes to get out to the bush."
"Probably more than people think," he said.
The visit to Dubbo is part of the singers 2019 tour, aptly named 'The Singles Tour'.
But according to Nollsy, die-hard fans of his won't be disappointed, as he plans on incorporating some of his older, well-known, songs including 'What About Me', 'Shine', and 'Drive'.
"It's fun playing those bigger songs," Shannon said.
