A traditional message stick will be carried across the region by train driver Uncle Robert Cameron.
Mr Cameron said the message sticks were a way of passing messages and sharing information between tribes. He said traditionally, if you had the message stick you would be kept safe on your travels.

The message stick for the Dubbo region has been designed by Kamlaroi man Kayleb Walker. It includes his totem, the sand goanna, as well as the creation animals.
The yellow represents men, the red women and the white is for children and everyone.
It also contains the words of this year's theme: voice, treaty, truth.
NSW TrainLink acting chief executive Dale Merrick encouraged people to share their stories as the message sticks travelled to different stations.
After making their journey across the region Mr Cameron said the message sticks would be put on displayu by NSW TrainLink.
