The Dubbo based jockey and Orange based horse have made a good pairing in the past, and that matchup made for a spectacular win on Tuesday when the two took out the Keirles Pharmacy Class 1 and Maiden Plate 1700m race in Wellington.

The Sonja Sharp trained mare looked set to fall behind the pack and miss a return to the previous winning form it had shown on the same track in April, until a bolt of speed just past the mid-way mark carried it to the front.

Ken Dunbar was glad to see Sass'N'Twinkle back to her previous winning form on the familiar ground.
"She won a maiden here and it was a bit of a mixed bag of a race, they went, then they stopped, then they went, then they stopped," Dunbar told Sky Racing afterwards.
"Yeah, well, I like a long race for a reason, because she hasn't got a great deal of dash, they were all sitting there cantering at the top of the hill, so I thought I'd better get on my bike and get going."
