James O'Neill and Rohan Birrell stood tall for an under strength Rams side but ultimately the hosts paid the price for a horribly slow start in a 21-point loss to the Queanbeyan Yowies.
Livewire O'Neill was the leading scorer for the Rams and finished with 12 points while Birrell only had one less in the 76-55 result.
The hosts were never truly in the game though after early struggles saw them score just one basket in the opening quarter.
The Yowies jumped out to a 13-2 lead which grew to 35-13 at the main break, and the Rams barely got any closer in the second half.
Josh Hathaway (27 points) and Gabriel Haynes (20) led the way for the Yowies while Rams veteran Brian Amos chimed in with 10 points in the loss.
The Rams remain at the foot of the ladder, having won just once this season while also being the only team not to have scored 1000 points during 15 rounds.
The Rams have been well off the pace when it comes to the attacking side of things, with just 853 points scored at an average of just under 57 a game.
Things don't get any easier this coming weekend as the Bankstown Bruins coming to town to take on the Dubbo side.
