Dubbo Stock and Station Agents suggests a new national record price for merino lambs may have been set at the weekly sheep and lamb sale in the city on Monday.

The 222 animals fetched a sizable $277.50 each at the Dubbo Regional Livestock Market.
They were produced by the Zell family of Tooraweenah.
Agents CPS Thomas Ballhausen and Irvine sold the lambs, which were up to 90 kilograms live weight, and averaged 74kg.
Echoing the agents' association, Bryce Thomas of CPS Thomas Ballhausen and Irvine said he believed the price was a national record for merinos.
"I haven't heard of anyone getting more money than that," he said.
Mr Thomas praised his client.
"This seller put a lot of work into them," Mr Thomas said.
The merino lambs were of Glendemar multipurpose merino blood.
It comes within the same year as the national record price for lambs has bounced between Dubbo and other centres.
On Monday the overall top price for lambs was $297, which went to the Dixon family of Dubbo, Dubbo Stock and Station Agents reports.
A single lot of extra heavy lambs at Griffith reached a national record for NLRS reported saleyards of $345 per head recently.
