Best placed was Dylan Eather who out sprinted the competition to take the win in the U17 men's event.
Ben Anderson was never headed in the U15 men's event to take out that race.
Kurt Eather, in Division One, raced for more than 80 minutes averaging in excess of 40km per hour to finish just off the podium in sixth.
Riders battled very windy conditions at the sixth round of Dubbo Cycle Club racing on the weekend.
With winds in the 60 kilometre an hour range conditions were far from ideal.
When combined with a difficult route a few riders opted to complete just one lap of the two lap course.
Returning from a couple of years in the states far west, Steven Munn led home the field to take his first win of the season.
Munn rode the course with Luke Beange but managed to break away in the last kilometres to see Beange finish in second.
Chris Couper averaged 39 kilometres an hour to finish third.
Giving some riders up to a 33 minutes head start, Couper managed to go past the entire field except for the first two riders.
This saw him also awarded with the fastest rider of the day award.
Haylee Fuller averaged over 36 kilometres on the day to be the fastest female rider.
It was a family affair with Haylee's mother, Catherine Fuller crossing the line as the second fastest female.
The club season point score is now three weeks old and a couple of favourites for the season title are starting to appear.
A grade riders Tim Hines and Chris Couper are battling it out at the top while consistent finishes from Haylee Fuller see her well in contention.
A few top five finishes from consistent competitors Craig May or Jeff Sargent will see them feature strongly as the season progresses.
Simone Grounds will head to Sydney this weekend to compete in the NSW Country road championships where she is sure to do well.
Locally riders will return to the hilly north Geurie course on the weekend for the 24km handicap race. Entries are open on line via Entry Boss now. The day's racing will start at 2pm.
