Hundreds of "ecstatic" Dubbo kids are being given miniature toy bins from the men that collect waste and recyclable materials.
"They love the garbage trucks, they get a real big kick when you give them the bin," Dubbo Regional Council worker Ken Matheson said.
"Once you give them the little bin as well that sort of makes their day."
Mr Matheson said many kids can hear the garbage truck coming and often greet it out the front of their houses.
Parents have taken to social media to thank council and JR Richards workers who give kids the bins.
"My missus has got Facebook, she's showed a few to me," a humble Peter Finch said.
"They're just happy...ecstatic when you give them a bin."
The toy bins, which have different coloured lids, are designed to help educate kids about how to properly dispose of different types of waste.
