INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the circumstances surrounding a house fire at Wellington, which left one man in hospital in a critical condition.

Shortly after 5pm on Thursday, officers from the Orana-Mid Western Police District were called to a home on Glasson Street, following reports a house was well alight.
Firefighters attended and extinguished the blaze.
A 52-year-old man suffered serious burns. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wellington District Hospital where he was later airlifted to Concord Hospital in a critical condition.

A 46-year-old man was later located at another Wellington residence where he was also treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for treatment.
A crime scene was established, and police believe the fire was deliberately lit.
As investigations continue, anyone with information about the incident is urged to come forward.
