Dubbo's Sanjib Shrestha says there is a high demand for skilled Information Technology (IT) workers in regional New South Wales and newly released figures back his claim up.

According to research by TAFE NSW, the technology and business services industry is ranked the top category to employ the most people in regional NSW.
Employment in the IT industry is forecast to increase by 3.6 per cent over the next three years.
Mr Shrestha successfully completed a Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking and a Diploma of Information Technology Networking at TAFE NSW Dubbo and is now working full-time at 5G Networks Central West as a Support Engineer.
"I enjoyed studying and developing hands-on skills at TAFE NSW which led to obtaining my networking certification through CISCO Networking Academy," he said. "I have been able to learn a range of skills at TAFE NSW that I am using every day in the workplace."
