The club held its annual changeover dinner on Saturday night, consisting of Mr Adams' last speech as club president, and Mr McCarthy's very first. Mr McCarthy has been a member for 15-years.
Mr McCarthy said he has a vision for what the club will look like after his year as President. "Nothing is broken in this club, and I pay tribute to all those that have come before me but, as custodian for the next year, I don't intend to sit on my hands and rest on the laurels of this club," he said of his vision.
"I intend to consult with my club and the community and make progressive and innovative changes where needed." Mr McCarthy stated his intentions to continue to innovate and evolve, and to ensure the Rotary Club remains a leading light in it's District. Members meet on Tuesday nights at the South Dubbo Tavern. The clubs newest member is Jared Cox.
