His side sits a win clear on top of the Group 11 first grade ladder and there's certainly no need to panic, not yet, but Dubbo CYMS captain-coach Jarryn Powyer concedes his side must learn from its first loss of the 2019 season.

The Fishies were out-gunned in a 28-10 loss to the Cowboys at Wellington on Saturday, Corey Cox and Villiame Turuva providing the only bright sparks in an otherwise dismal day for the normally clinical CYMS outfit.
Powyer's men finished on the wrong end of a 13-3 penalty count - CYMS didn't receive a penalty in the second stanza - while both Jyie Chapman and Kaleb Binge Junior spent time in the sin bin during the loss.
Binge's first outing for the Fishies was largely forgettable, the big prop coughing up his first touch, throwing a forward pass with his second and then giving referee Willy Barnes a gobful before being sent to the sin bin.

Powyer said CYMS battled ball control in the opening half and gifting Wellington that much possession in the first period eventually told the story in the second term.
The hosts ran in four second-half tries to CYMS' one to complete the memorable Cowboys victory.
"I can only remember tackling in the game," Powyer said.
"We probably didn't get enough ball but to Wello's credit it was their defence that coughed up our ball. It's all on us, I think."
The boys were behind each other the whole time and that speaks more to me than the end result. We've just got to tidy up the discipline.

Still, Powyer knows titles aren't won in June and the first-time coach's focus remains on peak performance in August and September.
"We wanted to have a better performance today but it didn't happen. It's back to the training paddock and see how we go from there," he added, before looking at the lop-sided penalty count against his side.
"It's frustrating, the penalty count, no doubt but for 60 minutes of being on the wrong end of that count our attitude was still 100 per cent positive.
"The boys were behind each other the whole time and that speaks more to me than the end result. We've just got to tidy up the discipline."
Returning fullback Brad Pickering suffered a knock in the first half and didn't return while the Fishies were already without hooker Hamish Astill, who is now out for the season with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
"There's a couple of good hookers at the club and they're keen. There's no excuses," Powyer said.
