Macquarie had previously met with the Jets at the kick-off of this season in back and forth round one affair where both teams tried to break free of the other on the scoreboard, but ended up sharing the competition points after a 34 - 34 draw.

That game was a largely thrilling affair that involved rival captain-coaches Wes Middleton and Aaron Hill both motivating their sides to put on an incredible performance.
Middleton, who captained the Jets through last year's season, will return in the rematch against his former team after spending a streak of games sidelined with an injury.
The draw against the Jets was a stark contrast to the Raiders other recent draw, a 10 - 10 result against the Nyngan Tigers where both teams struggled to find opportunities to score.
The performance blunted some of the momentum the Raiders had carried after their best performance of the season at home against Parkes the week prior.
The Raiders will have had a benefit of a week's rest after receiving a bye following their draw against the Tigers, and will also have the benefit of playing on home turf, both of their previous draws having played out in their enemies backyard.
The rematch will kick-off at 2:30pm on Sunday June 23 at Apex Oval.
