Under the guidance of coach Kimberley Forrester the basketball team edged out Bathurst 34-33.
It's a remission of lasts years defeat against Bathurst High School when they had taken out a comfortable 71-39 victory over the Dubbo side.
The games played in Dubbo at Sportsworld last Thursday.
The game was incredibly intense, having had both sides coaches gushing with adrenalin.
At no point could you decided who the winner was going to be.
Dubbo coach Kimberly Forrester gave her side a hope leading into the clash.
"They've done well, I'm really proud of them today" Forrester said.
Dubbo will head to Orange in two weeks to have a go against Orange High for round two, but the dominant team is going to be even harder to take down.
The highly-fancied Orange side is going to make for an even more intense game, but Dubbo side are just happy to have taken out one basketball win.
