A 60-year old Lightning Ridge was fined a total of $300 and placed on a community corrections order for 12 months after police found cannabis, ammunition and prohibited firearms on his property on Tuesday.

Ronald Laurence Gregory faced Dubbo Local Court on Thursday, charged with possessing ammunition, cannabis and prohibited firearms.
He was also charged with not keeping firearms safe and using a prohibited weapon.
Gregory pleaded guilty to all charges.
According to a police facts document presented to the court, Gregory was served a firearm and weapons prohibition order last month.
Police said when they searched Gregory's property they also found a baton, shot gun cartridges, air rifle pellets and cannabis.
Magistrate Gary Wilson convicted Gregory of all offences and placed him on a community corrections order for 12 months for the firearms and weapon offences he committed.
Gregory was fined $200 for possessing cannabis and $100 for possessing ammunition.
