In 2017 people in Dubbo were invited to join the Digital Drivers Licence (DDL) trial, in November the same year, Narromine and Emmungerie were invited to join the exclusive DDL club.
Now, the state government have announced EVERYONE can be a part of the Club.
In the 2019-2020 NSW Budget announced on Tuesday, Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello announced the technology would be rolled out state-wide.
There's already 14,000 people using the technology in Dubbo, Albury and Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, but soon anyone will have access to the DDL.

So say goodbye scrambling for your licence to get into the Amaroo or worrying you've forgotten your plastic card trying to board a flight at Dubbo Regional Airport, life is about to get a whole lot easier.
"The DDL is hosted securely on the new Service NSW app, locks with a PIN and can be accessed offline," he said.
"It will provide additional levels of security and protection against identity fraud, compared to the plastic driver licence."
If you can't wait to get started you can visit MyServiceNSW online to sign up for the trial, BUT you'll still need your plastic driver licence with you.
For those of you a fan of your plastic card, don't worry the DDL is opt in only, so no change unless you want it.
