Jason Brian Stanley Lickiss pleaded guilty to the indecency charge and was supported by his partner in court.
In documents presented to the court police said 33-year-old Lickiss regularly delivered Australia Post packages to the woman's home before the act of indecency took place in June 2018.
Police said when the woman answered the door to collect her package, Lickiss asked her if she had been breastfeeding.
The woman thought it was an "odd comment" but the pair continued to chat.
Police said Lickiss then "reached out with one hand and pulled the neckline of the [woman's] round-neck t-shirt".
The woman's bra became exposed and Lickiss said "your boobies are big" to her.
She pulled her shirt back up and told Lickiss he was "a perve".
The woman then said Lickiss looked at her with a "creepy smirk" and said "eh".
At Lickiss' sentencing hearing in Dubbo Local Court last Thursday his legal representative said there was no evidence Lickiss had any direct physical contact with the victim.
The woman was not injured, no threats were made to her, Lickiss was remorseful and of good character, it was his first time before a court and Australia Post was aware of the incident, the legal representative said.
"Since the offence has occurred he's made arrangements to go on an alternative delivery route," he advised.
"This behaviour was extremely inappropriate...I am confident this sort of behaviour or reoffending won't occur," Magistrate Gary Wilson told Lickiss.
Magistrate Wilson said the behaviour was "extremely opportunistic" and took into account Lickiss' lack of a criminal record when he considered what sentence to impose.
Lickiss was convicted, placed on a community corrections order for 12 months and ordered to undertake 120 hours of community service.
