The Reject Shop's General Counsel Michael Freier has revealed the fate of the retailer's Dubbo store after seven stores were earmarked for closure by the end of the month.

"Dubbo is not on any list of closures," he told the Daily Liberal.
"Our lease runs until July 2022. The current lease began in 2015.
"Dubbo is a very good part of the world and we see a bright future in Dubbo."

Mr Freier said the company is focused on creating value for all its customers, shareholders, team members and suppliers.

In May The Reject Shop's chief executive quit after the company announced it was expected to post a full-year loss of up to $2 million, instead of the full-year profit of between $3.1 and $4.1 million it predicted in February.
When the loss was announced the company said seven stores would close but did not say which stores they would be.
