Each performer recite their rhyme in front of a large crowd.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
The brave young frogs, sheep, stars and bakers were adjudicated by Patricia Oertel.
Ms Oertel said because of their young age, the competitors weren't judged on their musical abilities like pitch, but on their diction and annunciation.
Plenty of hours went into creating the wonderful costumes which used everything from bath mats and sheep fur to fairy lights meant to show a bright, shining star.
The Dubbo Eisteddfod will continue on Saturday with the Dance program at the DRTCC.
The Instrumental program will resume at the Macquarie Conservatorium on Saturday, June 15 with piano solos.
