Mr Anderson and Dubbo MP Dugald Saunders received a guided tour of The Exchange Clock Tower in Macquarie Street recently.
The heritage property is undergoing renovation led by new owner and engineer Jillian Kilby, the founder of social impact organisation The Exchange.
The Exchange community manager Minna Demetriou and project delivery manager Kate Wade showed the pair where future community members could co-work and collaborate throughout the building.
They also shared with Mr Anderson the importance of creating vibrant and inspiring space for the emerging employers of Dubbo, those who will be starting and scaling up their businesses from The Exchange Clock Tower.
The minister heard stories of The Exchange's entrepreneurs, start-ups and small business owners, and with more than 100 community members and 3000 online followers there were plenty of success stories to share, The Exchange reported.
"This project is exciting and will help great people with excellent ideas start their dream," Mr Anderson said.
"I wish something like this was around when I started my first business many years ago."
Ms Kilby thanked the two MPs for their time.
"It is important that we are able to shine a spotlight on the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners here in Dubbo, so when decisions are made in the NSW Parliament, they are made with an awareness of our needs, and they are made to benefit us in regional NSW," she said.
