Emus' boom recruit Charlie Henley has wasted no time making presence felt both at the Orange club and across Central West Rugby Union's Blowes Clothing Cup too, this week's update of the competition's player-of-the-year polling is unequivocal proof of that.

Henley's only made two appearances for the defending premiers since landing at Endeavour Oval from NSW Suburban Rugby Union's Woollahra Colleagues but, despite playing so little compared to his rivals, has shown enough to rocket into early contention for the MVP award.
The award is voted on by the region's referees - who award three, two and one points across each game - and the front-runners for the top tier and third tier Oilsplus Cup awards were provided to the Central Western Daily on Thursday morning, in no particular order and without their specific tallies.
Henley, who crossed for tries in both Emus' draw with Orange City and their big victory over Forbes as well, is among the top six contenders for the Blowes Clothing Cup award, he's joined in that group by the greens' skipper and fullback Nigel Staniforth too.
It's no surprise to see the two Emus' guns alongside Bathurst Bulldogs' Justin Mobbs either, considering he's arguably the form player of the competition and there's been a handful of games across the opening six rounds he's assumed to have polled votes in.
Bulldogs' Alex Weal, Forbes' Charlie French and Cowra's Argentinian import Garrizo Gonzalo round out that top six.
Molong's two Central West Blue Bulls guns Zac White and Josh Peffer are among the front-runners in the Oilsplus Cup Northern Division, along with Canowindra's James Watson and Geurie superstar Filisione Pauta.
Unsurprisingly considering Cootamundra lead the South-West Division, Tri-Colours duo Pat Cameron and Darryl Hemopo are among that competition's leaders.
They're joined by Boorowra's Shane Friend, Condobolin's Brodie King, Grenfell's Fraser Ryder and West Wyalong's Nigel Duncan.
All three competitions, the second tier New Holland Agriculture Cup and women's Westfund Ferguson Cup continue with this weekend's seventh round.
