Dubbo Show Society is encouraging patrons to spend $13 online instead of $15 at the gate.
"People who have a smartphone can buy tickets as they approach the gate and have them scanned," society secretary Sue Hood said.
"Once through the gate there is all this entertainment which is free."

Mrs Hood reeled off some of the attractions that won't cost patrons a cent at the three-day show starting Friday.
They include a circus, live music, street entertainment including puppet shows, a clown and stilt walkers, woodchopping, speed shearing, fireworks, yard dog trials, showjumping, pavilion displays, farmyard nursery, livestock judging, the Great Lego Building Challenge and bikes and utes "competing against each other".
"You can bring a packed lunch and it will only cost you to come through the gate," Mrs Hood said.
More than 1000 volunteers will help run the show with Dubbo businesses among the throng lending a hand.
About 20,000 tickets were sold to the 2018 show despite wet and cold conditions.
"If the weather stays like this we should get a good crowd," the secretary said on sunny Wednesday morning.
The show will be opened early Saturday afternoon by Dubbo-based James Cleaver who received the Royal Agricultural Society Rural Achiever award at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
The opening will include the naming of the ZooFM Dubbo Showgirl.
