"I grew up in town but both sides of my family had either sheep or cattle and then when I hit high school I went to St John's and we got into cattle showing. From there it's just grown," Ms Loudon said.
Ms Loudon is one of the entrants in the 2019 Dubbo Showgirl competition. It aims to find someone who can represent young, regional women of NSW and promote the Dubbo Show.
The 22-year-old is in her last year of a Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. From there she's planning to a Masters in Teaching.

"I've always loved working with younger kids and helped teach them what the bigger picture is, rather than just English and science. Teaching ag gives them some life skills and they can see where their food comes from or where their clothes have come from," Ms Loudon said.
She's also the Australian Limousin Youth Association president and is in the process of organising a junior show in Moss Vale in July.
Take a step. You can't get involved unless you try.

Ms Loudon said she had been competing in the Dubbo Show for as long as she could remember and was on the committee for "a long time". She's also frequently a cattle judge at other shows.
Applying to be the Dubbo Showgirl was a way to give back to the Dubbo community.
For Ms Loudon, the Dubbo Showgirl should be someone who is passionate about the community. Having some ag experience would also be a good help, she said.
"Being able to be around and be seen by people would be good. And if someone has a question about something, being able to answer it or giving them directions on where they can get help," Ms Loudon said.
"For example, if someone wanted to get into showing cattle I could say 'this is how you do it'. Or tell them they could tag along with me and I could teach them how to do stuff and try and get as many people involved as I can."
By running for Dubbo Showgirl, the 22-year-old wants to meet some people who have the same passion in agriculture as her.
Ms Loudon also had some advice for people considering getting involved with the Dubbo Show.
"Take a step. You can't get involved unless you try. Whether it's just giving someone a phone call or having a look at the show and trying to talk to people just get yourself out there and ag is a really good industry to get involved with, you may as well give it a crack," she said.
The winner of the 2019 Dubbo Showgirl competition will be announced on Saturday, May 25, prior to the official opening of the Dubbo Show.
