Head of Scots All Saints College at Bathurst, John Weeks, says its new boarder multi-student family discount recognises the importance of keeping families together on one campus within regional NSW.

"With the impact of drought and financial hardships, evidence-based research shows it's important for families to have value for money and to stay together to support one another in these times of need," he said.

Mr Weeks said the new extended-family boarder package would deliver considerable savings to families through annual fee discounts for a "minimum of three or more in an extended family throughout their time" at the school.

He said the school already had "generous sibling discounts for two or more children" and encouraged individual students to apply for a newly launched all-rounder scholarship.

Bourke siblings, Harriet and Will Mitchell, board at the school where Will supports his sister if she gets "upset".

"We are together at school but have space too which is great," he said.

Dubbo's Lillian Oke tells of "outstanding opportunities for agriculture and equestrian".

"I enjoy the freedom and the independence that boarding here provides," she said.

The extended-family boarder discount is available in 2019 for three or more family members enrolling in 2020 who do not qualify for funding from the Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme.

The school will be hosting a Try Boarding Sleepover on June 23.
