The service turns 30 this year and community members are being invited to head to the Dubbo Show on Friday to celebrate with police and Peter Price, NSW Crime Stoppers Chief Executive Officer.
The birthday event will recognise the work police and community members do together, to help solve crime problems.
"Since its inception in 1989, NSW Crime Stoppers has been crucial in solving crime and was the first organisation in the world to establish a 24/7 operating call centre, as well as online and mobile reporting," a Crime Stoppers spokesperson said.
"Crime Stoppers is contacted once every six minutes every day with information that leads to an average of four arrests per day."
The event gets underway from 12pm at the police stand, opposite the machinery sites, at the Dubbo Showground.
