The level two water restrictions will be proposed at the upcoming Dubbo Regional Council meeting on Monday, May 27.
If supported, the water restrictions will come into effect on June 1.

As per council's Drought Management Plan level 2 water restrictions will allow a residential target water use of 301 litres per person / per day.
The restrictions will involve an "odds and evens" system under which watering of gardens and lawns is permitted only every second day between set times, not with the use of fixed sprinklers.
Restrictions will also impact council assets such as parks and gardens. Council will review current watering practices for those assets.
Orange is currently on level four water restrictions. In Bathurst and Narromine it's level three, while Nyngan is on level two.
The water level at Burrendong Dam has dropped to six per cent.
Cr Shields said Water NSW hadn't reduced Dubbo's allocation of water from the dam, but he said it was "our moral duty to be proactive in this space".
"It's important for council to play its part in responsibly managing water within the catchment, particularly given the severity of the current drought and the decreasing level of Burrendong Dam," Cr Shields said.
Dubbo MP Dugald Saunders said it was important for council to consider the measures.
"There is obviously the need to share the burden going forward, so I am supporting and encouraging council to take a leadership role on this issue," Mr Saunders said.
"I am sure that the people of the Dubbo region will support this proactive measure. It's important that we all do our bit."
