Public hearings will be held locally, as part of the inquiry into the drug known as ice.
Paramedics, police officers and health workers are expected to give evidence about the devastating impact ice is having in Dubbo and surrounding communities.
"During the hearings in Dubbo the special commission will hear from witnesses about the extent and nature of crystal methamphetamine use in the region and the local responses to the issue," a spokesperson said.
Hearings have already been held in Lismore and Sydney, with more due to take place in Nowra, Broken Hill and Newcastle in coming months.
The NSW Government set up the inquiry to examine why people are using ice, the effectiveness of current measures in place to respond to the problem and options to cut ice use and help addicts or those at risk of becoming hooked.
The inquiry's final report will be delivered by the end of October.
