Figures from the Australian Electoral Commission reveal that as of Thursday in Dubbo, the number of people voting early in 2019 is up by more than 1,000 compared to the last election.
Respected Nationals MP Mark Coulton is expected to retain his position as the local member.

Federally, opinion polls have consistently pointed to the election of a Bill Shorten-led Labor government.
The Liberal and Nationals narrowly won the last federal election in 2016 but were forced into minority government after Malcolm Turnbull was deposed as Prime Minister and Kerryn Phelps won the Wentworth by-election.
