Ms Comerford is one of the entrants in the 2019 Dubbo Showgirl competition. It aims to find someone who can represent young, regional women of NSW and promote the Dubbo Show.
Ms Comerford is currently in her third year of studying a bachelor of agriculture and bachelor of business at the University of New England. Having grown up on a farm, she's been involved in agriculture her whole life and showed cattle throughout high school.
"I aim to get into a role marketing beef/cattle all around the world, especially Australian beef, while running my family farm," Ms Comerford said.
"With the unforeseen drought and Australia's current climate it wouldn't be feasible to have a career based off the farm."

By becoming the Dubbo Showgirl, Ms Comerford said she would be able to promote her local community and the annual show. The showgirl entrant said she had gotten her passion and strong will from her mum.
"I am a very compassionate leader and very passionate about what I believe in. I'd be a strong ambassador for the Dubbo rural community," she said.
"I think it's really important that we always work on building a sustainable community for people to come back to and instead of people moving into urban areas being able to promote people to come back."
The showgirl entrant is currently in Armidale studying, but said she always thought of Dubbo as home.
"I always planned to come back to Dubbo, Dubbo is were I call home and I'm passionate about the Dubbo community," Ms Comerford said.
Ms Comerford, who has been on the Dubbo Show committee since 2012, said the showgirl competition was also a way to get young people involved in the community.
"If I can promote that further through entering the competition that would be a big thing for me. I believe the showgirl is a platform that really helps promote the show to the community," she said.
Ms Comerford said she was very excited to meet the other showgirl entrants and get a deeper understanding of how the Dubbo Show runs.
The winner of the Dubbo Showgirl competition will be announced on Saturday, May 25, prior to the official opening of the Dubbo Show.
