A man who appeared to be sleeping rough in Dubbo while it was just five degrees outside was grateful to receive hot chocolate and hamburgers from three concerned and compassionate community members on Sunday morning.

While they could have just ignored the man, who was believed to be homeless, Brendan McNeilly, his wife Felicity and their friend Tahliah Daley could not help but do something to help.
The trio, who are all deaf, decided to go to McDonald's and buy some warm food and a drink for the man.
"He was wearing shorts and a jumper," Ms Daley said.
"We didn't have any blankets for him so Brendan decided to go to Maccas."
Mr McNeilly, who moved to Dubbo in January with his wife, said he felt buying the items was the least he could do to help someone in need.
"I said 'hey there buddy, how you going' and he said 'freezing'," Mr McNeilly said.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics said the 2016 census showed the rate of homelessness increased 4.6 per cent since 2011.
