Dubbo Westview Drive-In reports it is receiving an "epic" response to the announcement of its first-ever National Rugby League (NRL) screening on June 5.
It has been inundated with inquiries, and a social media post has been shared widely.
Origin presale tickets will be offered to the people who have registered on the drive-in's website or who have been previous loyal patrons.
Presale tickets will go on sale on Thursday at 9am, and then tickets will open up to the general public on Friday.
The idea to screen State of Origin came from the Coober Pedy drive-in, which plays Australian Football League games on a Friday night.
Dubbo Westview Drive-In contacted Channel 9 and the NRL and gained permission.
A spokesman said it would be great to bring people together to "cheer on the Blues and beat Queensland again".
"We've had heaps of pre-registrations, so we expect it to sell out pretty quickly," he said.
Pre-game entertainment including pass the ball competitions and a challenge featuring rubber cane toads is planned.
It's shaping up to be a big month at the drive-in, with it also securing a blockbuster new release.
Avengers: Endgame, which smashed box office records in the first week of its released, is locked in for Saturday June 1.
