The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast snow above 1000 metres in the Bathurst and Lithgow areas on Friday. It will be only 10 degrees in Bathurst and nine in Lithgow.
Snow is also expected at the Jenolan Caves.

According to the BOM, snow forms when atmospheric temperatures are low and there is moisture in the air. Snowflakes form when the ice crystals grow around pollen or dust particles.
"The shape of the arms depends on the temperature and humidity of the environment, giving each snowflake a unique shape," the BOM said.
The snow forecast is only for the one day, for anyone willing to drive to see it.
But, while there might not be any expected in Dubbo, a chilly day is on the way.
The BOM has forecast a maximum of 14 in Dubbo on Friday. There's also a 40 per cent chance of rain.
A 10 per cent chance of rain has also been forecast for Thursday.
A cold weekend is also on the cards for Dubbo.
On Saturday there is an expected maximum of 16 degrees, while it will rise up to 20 on Sunday and then 22 on Monday.
The nights are expected to be chilly with a minimum of three degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
The average maximum temperature in April since 1993 has been 24.9 degrees. According to the BOM in the past there's also been an average of three days of rain during the month.
On Friday there was 1.8 millimetres of rain in Dubbo and another 13.4mm on Saturday.
