The Unicorn got the job done on the road, proving far too good for the Dunedoo Swans while the Panthers were convincing winners over the Gulgong Terriers.
Playing at Dunedoo, the home side seemed intent on plugging it up the middle which posed few problems for the Unicorns. The visitors were intent on spreading the ball wide in attack and that paid big dividends.
Coonabarabran winger Dean Lewin and centre Josh Nixon were the major beneficiaries of that gameplan, notching six tries between them. Lewins snagged four tries as the Unicorns careered away to a dominant 48-18 win and ensured they remain in top spot on the ladder.

It was a similar scenario at Gilgandra with the Gulgong Terriers having little answer to the speed and slick ball movement of the Panthers' back-line.
The Panthers powerful forward pack also stood up, Hayden Smith bagging a double as the hosts built on a 28-4 half-time lead to go on and win 44-16.
The battle of the birds at Trangie saw the home side record a 33-16 win over Baradine, with centre Braden Carney scoring almost half of the hosts' points in a classy four-try showing.
At Cobar, the Roosters broke through for their first win of the season with a solid 46-26 victory over the Coonamble Bears
The Bears will need to regroup quickly before their home game against the Unicorns this Saturday. There is a traditionally strong rivalry between the two clubs and the Bears will be out to put an end to Coonabarabran's unbeaten run in front of their large number of supporters at Bear Park.
Similarly, the Dunedoo Swans will want to improve on their most recent showing when they travel to Gilgandra to take on the Panthers. This will be another solid test for the Swans as the Panthers have been in some hot recent form and are always a mighty challenge at home.
A tight tussle is expected to take place at The Crater when the Binnaway Bombshells host the Trangie Magpies. Both sides are coming off wins and both have shown they are competitive units. This game could well be a nail-biter with a win being vital for both clubs in terms of their standing on the competition ladder
The final game will be played at Gulgong where the Terriers host the Baradine Magpies. The Magpies are searching for their first win for the season while the Terriers are another determined to find top form.
Gulgong sits fourth on the ladder and with the top sides all facing tricky tests this weekend a victory at home could well see the men in sky blue climb the ladder.
