The winger was once again outstanding in the Roos' narrow loss to Cowra on Saturday, punching holes in the Eagles defence and repeatedly putting his body on the line despite suffering a head knock early in the second stanza.
"He's outstanding every week, Beachy," said McHugh, who himself led the Blue Bulls during their recent tour of New Zealand.
"He's been a standout for us and someone I think Dean Oxley should really be looking at for the Central West selection.
"I mean if Tim Beach isn't there as a winger, I don't know what wingers are beating him."
Beach gave the Roos' bench a scare on Saturday, as he landed awkwardly on his right shoulder.
A member of the Roos' medical staff and McHugh rushed to his aid and he seemed to lay, unmoving for a number of minutes.
But McHugh confirmed the winger was "tough", and after getting bandaged up, he was back on the paddock with nothing to show for it but the beginnings of a black eye.
"Nah, he carries on a bit," McHugh said when asked if his star had lost consciousness.
"He's a bit of a pretty boy and his face got a bit banged up there so he was more worried about that I think.
"'Is it bleeding? Is my face bleeding?' So anyway he is tough, he was getting knocked around but one of our best players so far this year."
