When the full-time whistle sounded on Sunday and Westside was consigned to a second successive loss to start the Group 11 season, the players and coaching staff stayed on the field and had the post-game chat.

There was plenty to be proud of despite the 80-32 defeat at Nyngan's Larkin Oval but one of the most pleasing aspects of the day was yet to occur.
The bulk of the Nyngan crowd stayed behind and waited for the Rabbitohs to leave the field, giving them a round of applause for their efforts on the day.
"That's what you want to see," Westside secretary Brooke Mallison said.
"We spoke to the boys after the game and told them we're so proud of the way they conducted themselves.
"There's been a massive difference and as scores go we know it's going to be a long season but the discipline and the attitude on show makes a hell of a difference."

Westside was no match for a rampant Nyngan side on Sunday, the Tigers running in more than a dozen tries in the dominant showing.
The final result means Westside has conceded 166 points in just two games.
But the Rabbitohs showed plenty of heart in the second half and despite being down 48-0 at one point they rallied and ensured they didn't remain scoreless two weeks in a row.
"Two weeks in a row the scoreline has been a thumping but the discipline, attitude, and effort has been unreal," Mallison added.
"There was a lot of who backed up again and Wayne (Mallison, club treasurer) said he couldn't give a best and fairest because each and every one of them deserved it."
We still need numbers and we want a fresh 13 each week.
- Brooke Mallison on Westside's goal
Mallison added it was also the second successive week the club had been approached the referee post-game and commended for the way the battling players conducted themselves.
The effort was more impressive given captain Kaidyn Mohr only played the first 15 minutes before injury ruled him out.
Brayden Thompson was one of many to stand up, getting through almost the entire game despite only getting through eight minutes in round one due to a rib injury.
Despite all the positive signs, depth remains a massive issue as just six players were fresh for first grade on Sunday.
The bulk of the club's players had to play both reserves and first grade and while Mallison said the effort didn't show any side of weariness, she and everyone else involved in with the Rabbitohs knows the current situation is not sustainable.
Mallison stated the club is still eager to attract new players.
"We still need numbers and we want a fresh 13 each week," she said.
