Toby David Beed, of Magnolia Boulevard, was caught by police in the Sydney suburb of Castle Hill on October 12 last year.
According to documents presented to Dubbo Local Court, the 18-year-old came to the attention of police because he was driving a Toyota Yaris at "significant speed".
Police saw the car mount a gutter before they followed it into a driveway, where it then hit a mailbox and collided with a sandstone retaining wall.
After witnessing the wild driving, police spoke with Beed and searched the car.
Inside they found a bong and plastic bag containing cannabis wrapped in 46 separate pieces of foil "of a similar size and weight so that they could be sold".
Police also found $310 in Beed's pocket and two mobile phones.
They also saw text messages about drug deals.
Beed fronted court last Wednesday, charged with unlawfully obtaining the $310, negligent driving, possessing equipment to administer a prohibited drug and supplying a prohibited drug.
He pleaded guilty to all charges and was fined $200 for negligent driving and $200 for having a bong in the car.
He received a community corrections order for 12 months for unlawfully obtaining money.
Beed was issued another community corrections order for 18 months and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work for supplying prohibited drugs.
