Lust for Live Acoustic is presented by SOMAD - the Songwriters & Original Musicians Association Dubbo.
The concept was first introduced last year in the Black Box Theatre at the Western Plains Cultural Centre, which drew sell-out crowds to shows from local acts Eraser, The Unclaimed Millions, Clinton Hoy and Mannequin.
SOMAD president, Fred Randell, is excited by the current state of original music in Dubbo.
"In March our new music festival, Under Western Skies, sold out, and the feedback we've had from attendees was amazing," Mr Randell said.
"SOMAD is very pleased to be able to provide a platform for the wealth of local musical talent through the festival, and our regular shows during the year: Lust for Live and Lust for Live Acoustic.
"It's important to our region to be able to present the music of our time, being made right here and now."
May's performance is from Dubbo's Civil Hands, who create handcrafted indie-rock musical tales with a dash of joyful pop.
Civil Hands have taken their sound on the road throughout the Central West to venues in Mudgee, Forbes, Parkes and Orange, and further afield to Sydney and Canberra stages.
They have played on festival bills at Inland Sea of Sound, Tunes on the Turf and Dubbo's DREAM Festival.
Their special May performance will include a collection of brand new tracks as well as a few familiar tunes.
Lust for Live Acoustic is on Sunday, May 19 at the Western Plains Cultural Centre.
Doors open at 5:30pm, with bar available.
Tickets are $10 online from r $15 at the door.
