As the weather system moves towards the coast, it will bring much-needed rain on Thursday and Friday.
The wettest location will be Cowra which could see 30mm of rain.
Up to 25mm is predicted for Dubbo, Forbes, Mudgee, Wellington and Young, around 20mm is expected in Nyngan and Parkes.
It will be a little drier in Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon and Orange with just 15mm expected, 10mm is predicted in Grenfell, while just 5mm could fall in Lithgow.

Long-term records show that April is the driest month of the year for most Central West locations.
Bureau of Meteorology data shows no rain was recorded in Bathurst, Dubbo, Grenfell, Nyngan and Parkes last month.
Lithgow was by far the wettest location during April, but even still the 21.3mm of rain that was recorded was well below the long-term average of 62.7mm
