The group of volunteers staging the annual event are ticking off their list of tasks ahead of the gates opening on May 24 for three days.
But in homes, studios and farms across the region there's also a whirl of activity in the final weeks in a bid to turn out the finest produce.
In the countdown to the Dubbo Show, here's six important pieces of information to know now.
1. Admission
Admission tickets can be pre-purchased online through 123tix for $13, compared with $15 at the gate.
2. Discounted ride tickets
Discounted ride tickets are now available.
The show society suggests people "save money and time at this year's show by pre-purchasing" ride tickets.
They are $25 for a sheet of 30 tickets and are available at the show office in Fitzroy Street or the Regional Australia Bank on Macquarie Street.
3. The closing date for cattle, pigs and photography
May 3 is the key date for entries in the cattle, pigs and photography sections.
4. The closing date for multiple sections in the pavilion and woodchop
Entry forms for farm and garden products, woodchop, fruit, handicrafts, home brew, jams and preserves, all cookery, fine arts and apiculture are due on May 10.
5. Could you be a rural leader? Submit your entry
Young women aspiring to be the next Dubbo Showgirl and people aged 20 to 29 years interested in the Dubbo Rural Achiever competition should put their names forward by May 10.
6. A night to celebrate
After a day of judging on May 18, the community has the chance to meet the entrants at the Dubbo Show Society Cocktail Party later in the evening.
The "cocktail dress" occasion will be held in St Brigid's Hall in Brisbane Street.
