It's been five days since the $2.20 ticket sold at Dubbo won almost $5 million and the winner is yet to come forward.
The Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize in draw 10284 was drawn on Thursday and the winner will take home the entire jackpot prize of $4,920,000.
The winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card, so NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the state's newest multi-millionaire to break the life-changing news.
The ticket was purchased at Talbragar Street Newsagency.
Excitement was evident on social media as Daily Liberal readers urged each other to check their tickets - or wished they had a ticket.
One generous woman had a happy ending in mind.
"Hopefully it's a farmer who only comes into town once a week... wouldn't that be a nice surprise for them if it was," Mel Prest wrote in a post to the Daily Liberal's Facebook page.
"Congratulations to whoever it is."
Talbragar Street Newsagency owner Peter Snare said he was eager to unite the player with their prize.
"We're still looking for the winner," he said.
"It could be someone who was driving through town and stopped to buy a ticket or maybe they've gone away for the Easter break, but we're really hoping they check their ticket soon.
"We've had plenty of customers coming in to have their Lucky Lotteries tickets scanned, hoping they're the winner we're looking for.
"The excitement is creating a real buzz in the community."
NSW Lotteries spokeswoman Lauren Cooney said she's urging all Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot players who purchased their ticket in Dubbo to check their entries.
"We love delivering life-changing news and we can't wait to break this news to our latest division one winner," she said.
"As people head back to work after the Easter break we're hoping people will start checking their tickets.
"We recommended checking wallets, fridges, freezers, underwear drawers, cars, or any odd spot where you may keep your precious tickets.
"We've had past winners come forward after finding an old ticket in the back of a drawer, in the central console of their car, and at the bottom of their handbag.
"If you discover you're the owner of a winning ticket, give us a call as soon as possible on 131 868 to start the prize claim process."
