The cenotaph in Victoria Park will form the backdrop for the occasion expected to draw thousands of people.
Commemoration will take place throughout the day, ending with an evening service.
Anzac Day services
5.45am | Dawn service at the cenotaph at Victoria Park on Darling Street
9.45am | Time for those taking in the march to gather outside the Dubbo RSL Club
10.15am | Anzac Day march along Wingewarra, Macquarie and Talbragar streets
10.45am | Anzac Day service
6.00pm | Evening service at the cenotaph
What roads are closed?
- Brisbane Street between Wingewarra Street and Serisier Street, Wingewarra Street between Darling and Brisbane Streets will be closed from 9am to 11am.
- Wingewarra Street between Brisbane and Macquarie Street, Macquarie Street between Wingewarra and Talbragar Street will be closed from 10:30am to 11:15am.
- Talbragar Street between Macquarie Street and Memorial Drive (Victoria Park) will be closed from 10.30am to 11.15am.
- Darling Street from Talbragar to Wingewarra Street will be closed from 10.30am to 1.00pm during the service.
- Wingewarra Street between Darling Street and Brisbane Street will be closed between 12pm and 1pm.
Motorists are advised that those vehicles parked within the nominated streets will not be able to be moved until the roads are opened.
What's open on Anzac Day?
Dubbo's major shopping centres will open doors at 1pm after the official Anzac Day services.
Orana Mall | 1pm opening, with most specialty stores closing at 4pm and Woolworths open until 8pm
Dubbo Square | open from 1pm to 5pm
Riverdale Shopping Centre | 1pm to 10pm, Woolworths Riverdale 1pm to 9pm, specialty store hours will vary
Aldi | 1.15pm to 8pm
Dubbo RSL Memorial Club will be a centre of activity on Thursday.
Its Sunset Bistro is open to the public for breakfast from 6am to 10am.
It opens for normal trade from midday, and there will be two-up in the auditorium from 2pm to 6pm.
Most of the city's hotels will trade, including the Commercial, the Milestone, the Amaroo, the Castlereagh, the Macquarie Inn, the South Dubbo Tavern, the Western Star, the Westside, and the Garden, and the Buncha's bar will be open, but not its bistro.
A number of cafes will open, however may have changed hours, and some cafes will be closed for the public holiday.
Press, The Def Chef, Short Street Store, Lotus, Village Bakery Cafe and The Athenian are some of the cafes that will be opening.
