Payne, one of the region's standout golfers, won a record 14th Duntryleague's Club Championship last weekend.
A week prior to that he won the 72-hole Championship at the Orange club as well.
Now he heads to Dubbo's annual Easter Tournament 36-hole tournament in red-hot form.
"I have had a lot of success at Dubbo in the past and I do love the course, so we'll see how we go," Payne said.
"I am starting to strike a bit of form recently. I've been putting really well but at times some of them just weren't going in, which they did last weekend (in the Club Championship final).
"I've always said when I'm playing my best is when I'm putting really well.
"But I can only worry about what I'm doing, and what I can do on the course. If I do that and it ends being good enough to win, great."
Incredibly, this year marks the 40th Payne has been coming to Dubbo to contest the Macquarie Cup.
