The Paramount Tennis Club's summer competition has concluded with exciting grand finals across the A, B and C Grades.

The summer competition, which commenced in late January and concluded last week, saw a number of players show vast improvement while the usual suspects across each grade played to their expected high standards.
In A Grade, Nathan Astri, Tim Connolly, Kel Wise and Chris Budden won a tense grand final from Luke McConochie, David Hurst, Jess Cancian and Ricky Chan, with the clash between Astri and McConochie a highlight of the night.
In B Grade, Mick McDonagh, Eamon Kendall, Jordan Gannon and Graeme Wallace defeated Gerard Cahill, Alan Blanch, Linda Croyston and Mark Austin.
In C Grade, Tom Warren, Jane Keys, Jake Sykes and Irina Musat we're victorious over Richard Clarke, Kerri Capill, Tanya Maxwell and Lauren Ramien.
The C Grade division is always social and again gave out some special awards - most improved Kerrie Stanford, most reliable reserve Bryce Mallon and biggest personality player Jackie Lindsay.
Focus now shifts to the upcoming autumn competition which will commence the week of Monday, 29 April.
Teams will be selected by the committee this week, people looking to play should contact the night organiser as soon as possible: A Grade - Charlie Whiteley 0417 026 164, B Grade - Karen Armstrong 0418 636 336, C Grade - Paul Handsaker 0429 069 745.
The A, B and C Grade competitions cater for players of all abilities and interest levels so if you're looking to have some fun and enjoy a social night out during the week, sign up today.
In other news, the annual club championships will be held over the first weekend in May with men's and women's singles to be played the Saturday and men's and women's doubles the Sunday morning and mixed doubles Sunday afternoon.
The club championships is a members only event, however people looking to play can sign up to be a member on the weekend of May 4 and 5.
