While frustrated after seeing the Canterbury Bulldogs slump to its worst loss under his reign, Dean Pay admitted his young side will have more tough days to endure in the future.

The Bulldogs were their own worst at times against during Sunday's 40-4 loss to St George Illawarra at Wollongong's Jubilee Stadium.
Two errors inside their 10-metre zone directly resulted in Dragons tries.
"It's simple - we made way too many errors," Dubbo product Pay said.
"At the end of the day, you keep giving a good quality team like that on their home ground opportunity after opportunity, they're going to take it."
Of the 17 players the Bulldogs fielded on Sunday, 11 entered the match with fewer than 50 games, including rookie winger Jayden Okunbor.
Pay predicted there'd be more trying times to come, with the Belmore outfit set to face an in-form South Sydney side on Friday.
"We've made some progression with these young blokes. (But) again, we're going to have our ups and we're going to have our downs," he said.
"It's obviously a real learning curve. You can't continue to make errors.
"We need to stop that, stop the stem of making those simple errors, but we need to make sure that we've got some resilience to defend them as well."
