Kathryn Webber said the team was going great.
"Most of what we do in the region is to help people with medical conditions so it really is a passion for us. All of us have actually been touched by cancer in one way or another," Ms Webber said.
Donna Ambler said she enjoyed taking part as a group rather than doing it individually.
"I think there's less pressure on you as an individual dancer, less pressure on your skills. We still have quite a way to go to refine the moves, and most of us are non-dancers, but from a social interaction point it's been fabulous," she said.
"We've had to do fundraisers together, we've had to dance together, so in terms of developing a cohesive workforce and team bonding it's really been amazing.
"It's bought us all very close together really. Things that you didn't know about people you're learning and becoming really good friends with them, even though you've worked with them for two years."
Ms Ambler said the extroverts were really shining, while other people were pushed out of their comfort zones. She said there were people taking part who she had never expected.
Ms Webber said she was learning about all the hidden talents they had in her team from singers to dancers.
"We're definitely not in time but we're trying to be," she said.
The team is remaining tight-lipped about their upcoming performance, but they have promised an entertaining routine and plenty of colour.
The dancers said at the end of the day it was about raising money to help people with cancer.
The team is hoping to reach $20,000.
