Academy Principal Mandi Randell said while the school competed last year in the Hunter Valley Year 6 competition, this was their first at the Central West Regional Decathlon as it was the first time a central west division had been offered.
"I am really proud of how each of our two teams worked hard, gave their best, and worked together valuing each other's strengths and differences," she said.
"Dedication and teamwork enabled each team to gain a regional championship title. It is a really good thing for Dubbo to show that you do not need to go to an expensive boarding school to achieve academic excellence."
