Pooches will receive a "wash, dry, brush and a cuddle" as part of the service.
Year 12 students of Dubbo College are holding the dog wash as a fundraiser for their formal and for their community charity, the Dubbo Women's Refuge.
Head of fundraising Cassie Shadwell came up with the dog wash idea and with her classmates' support held a trial that met with success.
Cassie, 17, encouraged dog owners to take advantage of the dog wash, which will run from 1.30pm to 6.30pm.
"It's going to be something good, it won't take long, about 10 minutes but we do a good job," Cassie said.
"Dogs will receive a wash, dry, brush and cuddle from the person doing it."
Dubbo College Year 12 coordinator Lisa Wilson praised Cassie as a "very resourceful, organised" student.
The teacher said fundraising was important to make the formal an affordable event for all students to attend.
"We thank the community for its help," Ms Wilson said.
"The formal celebrates 13 years of working hard, the students will remember it for the rest of their lives."
Bookings are essential for the dog wash, which costs $10 for dogs "big or small".
