On Wednesday Year 10 students from Dubbo College pledged to make a commitment towards their education at the annual 'Get Real' assembly.
Students from Delroy and South Campuses gathered at the College's Senior Campus for the occasion, and pledged to be in full-time education, training or employment by the official school leaving age of 17.
The ceremony has been running for 14 years and is strongly supported by various Dubbo businesses who also pledge to provide work experience, work placement and casual and full-time employment opportunities for the students.
These employers, including Fletcher International, Dubbo City Council, The Daily Liberal, Bridgewater Signs and Dubbo Chamber of Commerce.

In her address at the ceremony, Dubbo College Delroy Campus principal Debbie Head said with a good education people are able to make a positive contribution to the community, take part in decision-making for that community, and make good choices so their life has productive outcomes.
Mrs Head outlined the pathways to a positive future, asking the college's Year 10 cohort to commit to further school education, TAFE education, industry training or full-time work.
Occasional speaker and Clontarf Foundation worker Kori West encouraged students to make the most of their educational opportunities while at school.
Mr West said he had taken the long road to achieving his current 'dream job' after leaving school prematurely in Year 11.
The program is coordinated by the Dubbo College careers team, which has careers teachers located at all three campuses.
